The detachable card feeder on the Evolis Pebble 4 (also available as a printer accessory) allows you to stock several feeders with different card backgrounds and/or thicknesses, according to your needs, or simply to avoid stopping production by changing an empty feeder for a full one.
• Smart & Simple To Use: The Evolis Pebble 4 card printer comes standard with a Windows driver which features a « monitor port » function which informs the user via the computer that an intervention on the printer is needed (card feeder empty, end of ribbon, printer cleaning, etc.). The standard USB and optional Ethernet ports make the printer plug-and-play. And to make life even simpler, we have included all the cables in the packaging.
• Economical: The Evolis Pebble 4 card printer is equipped with the Evolis Pebble 4 Ribbon Saver for monochrome printing. With this system, you only use the ribbon length that corresponds to the length of the image to be printed. This feature allows you to double and even triple the capacity of your monochrome ribbons… and to reduce the cost of each card - a feature unique to the Evolis Pebble 4 card printer. The Evolis Pebble 4 also offers a Half-Panel Color Ribbon range, 42% cheaper than the standard color ribbons for all your card printing with ID pictures.
• eMedia Standard ID software: eMedia is a free addition to the Evolis Pebble 4 card printer. eMedia the perfect tool for graphic, magnetic, and electronic personalization of plastic cards. eMedia facilitates the creation and printing of all your cards: company badges, business cards, membership cards, loyalty cards etc, and gives you the possibility to build a source of different card layouts instantly.
• Card Five Software - Where a more robust feature set of card software is required, we recommend the Card Five Software.  This software works directly with the Pebble 4 printer using DCL or Direct Command Language and is much more cost efficient than purchasing the upgrade license to the eMedia Software.
• MAC Support: The Evolis Pebble 4 card printer is compatible with nearly any software OS as it is delivered with drivers for Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, 2000, XP and Vista OR Mac OS X v10.2/10.3.   For Macintosh, we recommend using Microsoft Office - WORD with the following settings for your pebble - 2.125x3.375 - 0 margins - 0 gutters.  This will work with your software.

The Pebble 4 Mag is a color / monochrome sublimation printer which includes an encoder for magnetic stripe cards.

This encoder allows you to personalize your cards in two different modes:

• ISO 7811 Norms using tracks 1, 2 and 3 (standard factory settings)

• Custom mode for specific applications (with different track formats, density per track, start and stop characters…). For magnetic specific encoding developments, please ask us the programming guide or contact our technical support.

Not forgetting to mention that the encoder can be defined by the user to operate with either a low (300 Oersteds), medium (2750 Oersteds) or high (4000 Oersteds) coercivity, by a simple click via the Windows driver. To set the medium coercivity, select high coercivity in the Windows driver.

The Pebble 4 SMART integrates a Smart Card Contact Station which enables you to personalize the chip cards. The Pebble 4 SMART is compatible with any ISO 7816-2 Chip Cards.

The push & contact system of the Smart Card Contact Station provides the contact with the card only when a personalization of the chip is required. This advantage ensures a better Contact Station durability and a higher card printing quality as it prevents scratches on the card surface.
